The Creative Credential is essential to promote your ability to generate innovative ideas that are relevant to target audiences and differentiating in the market place to drive results – to create work that works.

With so many communications channels available to build relationships between brands and customers, creative ideas have to stand out. Creativity is a key competitor differentiator to get noticed. If organisations want to adapt to change, they need the types of professionals who can provide ideas that help a business innovate – both for themselves as well as their customer interactions. Professionals working in a creative department of an agency typically advance more rapidly. This credential is also focused on demonstrating creative thought leadership.

CREDENTIAL LEVELS

This Credential is currently available at the Entry, Developing, Intermediate, Proficient and Advanced levels. Use the level indicators below to identify the level you should explore. View the Credential level to see further information.
Entry

At this level you will most likely:

  • Have 6 months experience
  • Be a professional new to the workforce
  • Have ownership for a defined range of tasks
  • Support others to deliver outcomes while acquiring knowledge and skills

Developing

At this level you will most likely:

  • Have 1 years experience
  • Be a professional with limited experience but will increasingly develop knowledge and skills
  • Have personal responsibility for a broad range of work activities
  • Collaborate with others to deliver effective outcomes for the team

Intermediate

At this level you will mostly likely:

  • Have 5 years professional experience in this capability
  • Be an experienced professional
  • Have experience in operational roles
  • Coordinate actions across operations

Proficient

At this level you will most likely:

  • Have 7 years professional experience in this capability
  • Be a senior professional
  • Have experience in function-level roles
  • Direct thinking or action across operations

  • Be an advanced professional

Creative Entry

At the Entry level of Creative you are confidently demonstrating idea generation that is relevant to your craft and effectively use tools, technology and software required to produce creative work. You display an awareness of media and the evolution of online and offline platforms and channels for creative work. You draw on contemporary theories, thinking, principles and techniques to produce quality creative work.

Creative Developing

At the Developing level of Creative you are consistently producing creative work, using specific knowledge and methods associated with your craft, that is appropriate to the brief and audience. You confidently articulate an idea into content that is concise and engaging with the strategy. You are likely investigating and assessing new media formats to incorporate into creative output of your team. You support and take personal responsibility to help others in the team to develop creative work. You take responsibility for delivering creative work to agreed budget, timelines and established business processes and measures.

Creative Intermediate

At the Intermediate level of Creative you are effectively shaping and producing the sophisticated creative output appropriate to the brief and audience. You create, explore, rationalise and present concepts or ideas against the brief, often with a novel perspective or original insight. You are responsible for coordinating the team’s input into the creative work and will likely review and reflect on the impact of creative decisions on campaigns and business results. You consider and apply creative knowledge to a brief with broad knowledge of existing and new media formats.

You coordinate the creative sessions, processes and ideation across projects and teams and oversee the use of platforms and technologies to satisfy the brief. You actively explore innovative tools and techniques that can improve creative that can improve the creative output of your team. You regularly conduct post-production delivery and review creative activities.
